New Zealand Hunt - Camping Outdoors
Includes NZ Wilderness (or bush) hut or camping out under the stars in tent or tent fly. This option is available to all hunters, outdoor enthusiasts and their companions visiting New Zealand. Don't expect turned sheets or drawn curtains with maidservants or 5 course meals. Taking a step back in time and experiencing New Zealand hunting the way most kiwi hunters know it today.
If choosing to hunt New Zealand free-range animals this style of wilderness accommodation will be the only option available with some NZ animals. If camping outdoors in tents your bedding will be air-mat bedrolls and your food dehydrated. Often this hunting option will involve some hiking usually taking you into remote areas of New Zealand where animal numbers are good.
New Zealand wilderness huts or bivvy's are also used providing a slightly more up-class version to the tent. Depending on the location of the hunt and animals hunted the huts vary in comfort level. All have bunks, some with running hot and cold water and some form of heating. Access to these New Zealand wilderness hunting lodges is by helicopter, four wheel drive truck, ATV motor bike and foot. Options will be discussed further with those interested in roughing it.
